A post from Slashdot mentioned research which seems to indicate that the older a man is when he fathers a child, the higher are the chances that his offspring will inherit detrimental genetic code. This makes me wonder if it is not our moral obligation to father children only at a young age. Perhaps men should be sterilized at a given age as mandated (and payed for no doubt) by the government? After all, if genetically engineered babies are societie's moral obligation, surely fathers of appropriate genetic superiority and age are as well.

Survival Of The Fittest…
An interesting article from the Telegraph explains how Mr. and Mrs. Greenstreet have been able to avoid the uncomfortable situation of raising a flawed child. However, it seems to me that this process has only solved part of the problem for poor Mr. and Mrs. Greenstreet. In order to make their lives as comfortable as possible they should simply ask the doctors to give Lizzie a mega-dose of anesthesia and get her out of their hair too. Would not that really be best for all involved anyway? And what of William, he may some day be the cause of more suffering, perhaps we should sign him up for a visit with Grim as well?
